Lauren McKenzie

Attorney

Lauren K. McKenzie is an associate who focuses her practice on complex business and commercial transactions and local government matters. Lauren has extensive experience in preparing and negotiating complex commercial agreements, conducting due diligence, regulatory and compliance matters, and advising clients on legal matters affecting their organizations. She represents public and private sector clients in a range of complex civil litigation matters and has achieved favorable results for clients through the alternative dispute process.

Lauren earned her Juris Doctor, along with a Certificate in Business Law, from DePaul University College of Law in May 2023. During her time at DePaul, Lauren served as the Editor-in-chief of the DePaul Business & Commercial Law Journal, where she contributed to scholarly discourse in the field. Before embarking on her legal career, Lauren excelled in the alcohol industry, serving as a District Sales Manager in Gallo Winery’s Sales Leadership Development Program. Her sales experience equipped her with valuable skills in communication, negotiation, and relationship building, which she now applies to her legal practice.

Prior to joining Airdo Werwas, Lauren gained valuable transactional experience at two different local Chicago business and transactional firms. She also interned at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. Lauren is an active member of the legal community, holding affiliations with the Chicago Bar Association's Young Lawyers Association Women in the Law Committee and the Illinois State Bar Association. With her diverse background and dedication to serving clients, Lauren is committed to providing comprehensive legal counsel at Airdo Werwas.
