Madeline Alessio graduated from the University of Iowa in 2020 with a B.A. in Political Science, as well as a certificate in Social Science Analytics. During her undergraduate career, Madeline sat on the executive board for her pre-law fraternity and panhellenic sorority. Madeline started her law school career at the University of Illinois, Chicago in August 2020. As a 2L, Madeline sits on the Moot Court Honors Council. She is the secretary of the International Human Rights Law Association and a member of the Women’s Law Caucus at UIC Law.
Madeline externed for an associate judge on the Twelfth Judicial Court of Illinois. She also gained practical experience by clerking in a personal injury and workers’ compensation firm. She is currently enrolled in a Restorative Justice Externship Program, where she volunteers at the Baretto Boys and Girls Club and trains in restorative justice techniques inside and outside the classroom. Madeline made Dean’s List in Spring and Fall 2021.
