About

Colton R. Giammanco is a general litigation attorney who brings a diverse skill set and a client-focused approach to his practice. A former prosecutor, he has significant courtroom experience handling complex criminal matters. He brings these skills to bear as part of Airdo Werwas’s litigation team, zealously advocating for clients in the courtroom and in other forums.

Prior to entering private practice, Colton served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in McHenry County, where he prosecuted violent offenses and serious Class A misdemeanors. He routinely first-chaired jury trials and focused on cases involving domestic violence, DUIs, and major traffic offenses.

Born and raised in Hinsdale, Illinois, Colton earned his undergraduate degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Minnesota. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law. During his academic career, he served as a leader in the Federalist Society, worked as a teaching assistant, and was an active member of Phi Gamma Delta.

While in law school, Colton developed substantial legal experience through clerkships with the Montana Department of Justice, where he worked on constitutional litigation, as well as with private firms where he focused on contract law and assisted in criminal defense matters
