About
Haley E. Trecarichi concentrates her practice on the representation of public and private sector clients, with a particular focus on complex governance, transactional, real estate, and development matters. She works closely with townships, special districts, and other public bodies in addressing the legal issues that arise in day-to-day operations, providing practical counsel responsive to their needs and the needs of the communities they serve. Her work includes drafting ordinances, resolutions, and policies; advising on land use, zoning, public contracting, and procurement; and assisting clients with compliance with the Freedom of Information Act, the Open Meetings Act, and laws governing ethics, conflicts of interest, and the expenditure of public funds.
In addition to her local government work, Haley represents real estate developers throughout the development process, from project evaluation and acquisition to governmental review and approval. She assists clients with due diligence, zoning analysis, development requirements, applications for governmental approvals, and the preparation and review of development-related agreements. Haley also assists clients in navigating interactions with public bodies, including appearances before boards, commissions, and other governmental entities. Her experience representing both public entities and developers provides her with a practical understanding of the legal, procedural, and operational considerations that shape development projects.
Haley earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she graduated with honors in 2024. During law school, Haley served as a student clinician in Loyola’s Business Law Clinic, advising clients on business and transactional matters. She also competed as a brief writer and oralist on Loyola’s International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Team, participating in competitions in Sweden, Croatia, and Austria. In addition, Haley served as a doctrinal tutor and a senior editor for Loyola’s Consumer Law Review. Before joining Airdo Werwas, Haley represented local governments and real estate developers at a law firm in Denver, Colorado.
Haley approaches her practice with an emphasis on clear communication, responsiveness, and practical problem-solving. She is committed to understanding each client’s goals and providing advice tailored to the needs of the community, organization, or business she represents.
