In a presentation entitled “Staffing Agency Potholes: How to Avoid Unnecessary Legal Issues Involving Staffing Agency Workers,” James Jansen, joined by Mollie Werwas, reviewed facility relationships with staffing agencies and their employees form the the dual perspectives of employment law and liability exposure. Mollie and James provided information on contractual risk shifting through indemnification and additional insured provision, as well as best practices for ensuring proper care is provided to residents while holding agencies accountable and liable for the actions of their personnel.
