Michael Airdo and Mollie Werwas are presenting on a series of topics for the LeadingAge Illinois 2021 Annual Meeting & Expo, that is being held virtually this year from June 22-24, 2021. Michael and Mollie are speaking on the topic of “Crisis Response: What to Do When Media, Law Enforcement, and Regulatory Agencies are at the Door,” highlighting lessons learned in the long-term care setting during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are also providing a legal perspective on best practices for clinical charting in nursing homes, including care plans, nursing notes, and incident documentation. Finally, Mollie will be discussing issues of indemnity and insurance in vendor relationships, in a presentation entitled, “Contractual Risk Shifting: Insurance, Contractual Risk Shifting Provisions, and Additional Insureds.
