Today, we remember Pope Francis on the first anniversary of his passing. This Jesuit’s life and papacy were marked by humility, a deep care for those on the margins, and a steadfast call to live out faith through service and compassion.
Today, our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, called upon all of us to remember his successor:
"Let us pray that [Pope Francis], already, may be enjoying the Lord's mercy, and we thank the Lord for the great gift of the life of Francis for the whole church and the whole world."
May we continue to carry forward Pope Francis’s example in how we serve others, lead with purpose, and remain grounded in faith.
