On August 28, we celebrate the Feast of Saint Augustine, whose influence has endured for centuries across theology, education, philosophy, and religious life.
That legacy holds special meaning for Airdo Werwas through our longstanding relationship with the Augustinians of the Midwest. We are privileged to serve as their legal counsel, and our founding member, Michael A. Airdo, is also an affiliate of the Augustinian Order -- a distinction that reflects a relationship rooted not only in our work together, but in a shared commitment to service, community, and faith.
Earlier this year, while visiting the tomb of Saint Augustine in Pavia, Pope Leo XIV reflected on the enduring importance of Augustine's teachings, saying, "Charity toward everyone is today, as it was for Saint Augustine and Jesus Christ, an essential message for the world."
That message remains at the heart of the Augustinian tradition. Through their ministries and communities, the Augustinians of the Midwest continue a centuries-old mission shaped by faith, truth, learning, service, and care for others.
As we celebrate Saint Augustine today, we are grateful for the friendship and trust of the Augustinians of the Midwest and for the opportunity to support a community that continues to bring his teachings to life through its ministry and service to others.
Happy Feast of Saint Augustine!
