As the Augustinians of the Midwest prepare for the installation of a new Prior Provincial this week, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Very Reverend Anthony Benedetto Pizzo, O.S.A., for his faithful leadership and dedicated service over the past eight years.
First elected Prior Provincial in 2018 and reelected to a second four-year term, Fr. Tony has guided the Province with wisdom, humility, and a deep commitment to the Augustinian mission. Throughout his tenure, he has faithfully supported the many ministries, communities, and individuals entrusted to his care.
Our firm has had the privilege of working closely with the Augustinians for many years, and we are especially grateful for the friendship we have built with Fr. Tony during his tenure as Prior Provincial. His humor, kindness, leadership, and unwavering dedication to the Order's mission have left a lasting impression on all who have had the opportunity to work alongside him.
We are deeply grateful to Fr. Tony for the many ways he has guided and supported the Augustinian ministries and communities entrusted to his care. His leadership has strengthened the Order's mission and positively impacted countless lives.
As Saint Augustine taught, “In this world two things are essential: life and friendship.” We thank you, Fr. Tony, for the gift of your friendship, your leadership, and your witness. Though your service as Provincial comes to an end, we remain united in the Augustinian spirit, pilgrims together with one heart and one soul intent upon God.
We wish you God's abundant blessings and every success in the next chapter of your ministry. Godspeed!
