One year ago today, on May 7, 2025, the Conclave began its work in discernment and prayer for the future of the Church.
As we mark this moment, we offer our prayers in thanksgiving for the College of Cardinals and for the selection of Pope Leo XIV, our Augustinian brother, Chicago-native Cardinal Robert F. Prevost.
We remain grateful for the Cardinals' careful deliberation and for the leadership that has followed. We also continue to pray for the entire College of Cardinals as they carry out their important work in service to the Church.
May their efforts continue to be guided by wisdom, faith, and a deep sense of responsibility to those they serve.
