Religious Brothers Day offers a meaningful opportunity to recognize and give thanks for the quiet dedication, humility, and service of religious brothers who devote their lives to faith, community, and the care of others.
To be a brother is more than a role. It is a way of life. It is a commitment to walk with others, to serve in both visible and unseen ways, and to make something of God’s care present in ordinary places. Whether in classrooms, parishes, ministries of outreach, or in seasons of rest and reflection, their presence continues to shape and strengthen the communities they serve.
What makes this vocation especially meaningful is that it is never carried alone. The mission of religious brothers is shared and sustained by the many individuals who walk alongside them. Lay partners, colleagues, and communities carry this work forward each day, not simply to fill a need, but because they, too, have been called to it. It reflects something enduring and essential, that we are, and always have been, better together.
At Airdo Werwas, LLC, this is not something we observe from a distance. It is something we have the privilege to witness firsthand through our longstanding relationships with religious communities across the country. We are grateful to work the American-Cassinese Congregation, the Benedictine Congregation of the Annunciation, the Christian Brothers of the Midwest, the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, the Brothers of Holy Cross, the Brothers of the Christian Schools, the Brothers of the Holy Cross of Jerusalem, the Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn, and the Swiss-American Congregation of Benedictine Monks, as well as organizations that include and are supported by religious brothers in their ministries, including the Augustinian Province of Our Mother of Good Counsel, the Redemptorist Fathers and Brothers of New York, the Clerics of Saint Viator, the Congregation of the Resurrection, the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, and the Servants of the Word.
Through these relationships, we see the depth of their commitment, the care with which they serve others, and the lasting impact of their ministries in communities both large and small. It is an honor to support and represent organizations whose missions are so deeply rooted in faith, service, and a commitment to others. These partnerships are meaningful to us, not only professionally, but personally, as they reflect values that guide our own work.
On Religious Brothers Day, we extend our sincere gratitude for all that religious brothers do each day to serve, lead, and inspire, and for the communities that continue to carry this mission forward together.
