RCRI Monday Recap

A meaningful start to RCRI 2026 in St. Louis.

On Monday, the Resource Center for Religious Institutes (RCRI) National Conference kicked off with a full day of pre-conference workshops. Airdo Werwas, LLC Founding Members Michael A. Airdo and Mollie E. Werwas, alongside attorney Jake A. Leahy, helped begin the week by presenting Legal Updates for Religious Institutes.

Together, they shared practical legal guidance on the evolving challenges facing religious communities, from governance and risk management to emerging legal developments and the protection of their missions.

The day also included a particularly special moment as Michael and Mollie presented Sr. Sharon Euart, RSM, Executive Director of RCRI, with a signed photograph of Pope Leo XIV, a meaningful gift from Michael's recent visit to Rome, where he had the extraordinary opportunity to meet with the Holy Father during a private audience.

Sharing this gift with Sr. Sharon was a wonderful way to recognize her leadership, dedication, and the important work she continues to do in service of religious communities across the country.

We are grateful to Sr. Sharon and the entire RCRI team for bringing together so many individuals who share a commitment to supporting and strengthening religious life. Beyond the presentations and educational sessions, it's the opportunity to reconnect with longtime friends, exchange ideas, and build meaningful relationships that makes this conference so special.

With the conference now well underway, we're looking forward to more meaningful conversations, shared insights, and opportunities to connect throughout the remainder of the week.
