A special story airs tonight on WGN News!
Airdo Werwas, LLC Founding Member and Augustinian Affiliate Michael A. Airdo, Chicago artist Joe Malham, and Br. Joseph Ruiz, OSA, of the Augustinians of the Midwest will be featured in tonight's WGN Cover Story.
During a recent visit to the Vatican, Michael had the extraordinary opportunity to meet Pope Leo XIV and present him with a commissioned icon of Our Mother of Good Counsel, created by Joe Malham specifically for the occasion. The icon represents a meaningful connection between faith, art, and the Augustinian tradition shared by Pope Leo and so many in our community.
The segment takes viewers behind the inspiration, artistry, and journey that brought this special moment to life. Br. Joe Ruiz also shares his personal experiences knowing Pope Leo, offering a unique perspective on the Holy Father and his Augustinian roots.
To commemorate the occasion, prints of the icon are available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Augustinians of the Midwest and supporting their continued mission and ministry. Prints are available here: https://trinityicons.com/collections/traditional-icons/products/our-lady-of-good-counsel.
We are grateful to share this meaningful story with our clients, colleagues, friends, and the communities that have been part of our journey.
Watch the preview and tune in tonight, Monday, October 19, at 9:00 p.m. CT on WGN News!
