On Labor Day, we honor the dignity of work and the people whose efforts build our families, businesses, institutions, communities, and country.
For those of us privileged to practice law, Pope Leo XIII’s words carry a special meaning. Justice is not merely something we argue about, write about, or seek in a courtroom. To give every person what is just is a duty.
Today, we give thanks for our colleagues, our clients, and all those whose labor, seen and unseen, serves others and strengthens the common good. We hope this holiday offers a well-earned opportunity to slow down, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy the final days of summer.
