Day One at Supporting the Mission: A Legal Conference for Religious in Los Angeles

Day One in Los Angeles is officially in the books!

Today, Michael Airdo, Mollie Werwas, and Elizabeth Yanan kicked off the first day of “Supporting the Mission: A Legal Conference for Religious in Los Angeles,” spending the day in conversation with religious leaders from across the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

The day’s sessions focused on Building Strong Foundations — from governance and leadership to stewardship, risk management, policies, and responding to difficult situations with care and clarity.

Michael and Mollie are pictured here presenting throughout the day, sharing practical guidance, answering questions, and even bringing a few laughs into the room along the way.

More than anything, Day One was about thoughtful conversation and creating space to talk through the very real challenges religious institutes face while continuing to protect their missions, support their members, and plan for the future.

We’re grateful for such an engaged group and a wonderful first day in LA. Looking forward to Day Two!
