Airdo Werwas attended the 115th Annual Township Officials of Illinois Training Conference in Springfield, Illinois, from November 13-15, 2022. At the Conference, the firm sponsored the inaugural Welcome Back Reception and hosted a reception dinner in the Winter Garden Room at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Michael Airdo and Mark Kimzey also presented on Social Media in Township Government: Legal Concerns & Best Practices. Their talk explored key legal concerns, such as OMA and FOIA compliance, records retention, and the First Amendment, with a focus on practical considerations and best practices for officials to diminish legal risks and protect their townships. In addition, Michael was elected as the Township Attorneys Association Treasurer for 2022-2023.
