Anthony R. Pasquini

Senior Counsel

Anthony Pasquini is a seasoned attorney with a decade of experience practicing law in the Chicagoland area. He focuses primarily on representing local governments, election law, and insurance matters. His work includes advising clients on transactional matters such as contract drafting, review, and negotiation, corporate and municipal governance, policy formation, and compliance issues. He also engages in complex litigation, with a particular emphasis on defending long-term care providers.

Rooted in his local upbringing in Melrose Park and on Chicago's Northwest Side, he graduated from Saint Patrick High School before earning bachelor's degrees in both political science and journalism in 2010. He subsequently obtained his Juris Doctor from UIC Law School (formerly John Marshall Law School) in 2014, laying a strong foundation for a diverse and impactful legal career.

Mr. Pasquini commenced his legal journey with a year encompassing criminal defense, mortgage foreclosure, and bankruptcy law. This initial breadth provided him with a valuable understanding of various legal landscapes before he transitioned to public service as a criminal prosecutor in DuPage County. During his nearly eight-year tenure, he handled a substantial caseload, ranging from traffic and misdemeanor offenses to complex felonies. His responsibilities included felony screening, assisting law enforcement with criminal investigations, and extensive trial work, culminating in recognition as the Felony Assistant State’s Attorney with the best trial record in 2018.

Building upon his prosecutorial experience, Mr. Pasquini joined the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in 2022. There, he contributed to the felony review unit, collaborating with agencies on criminal investigations, and served as a Felony Second Chair in Maywood. In this capacity, he managed his own courtroom, co-supervised misdemeanor assistants, and provided guidance on preliminary hearings. His commitment to public service extended to his role as an attorney for the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police Labor Council, where he focused on labor and contract law, representing officers in disciplinary matters, contract negotiations, and critical incident investigations, including officer-involved shootings. He also conducted arbitration hearings related to employment and disciplinary issues.

Mr. Pasquini then served as Corporate Legal Counsel for the O’Hare Airport Transit System. In this role, he managed all contract work for the company, managed department heads, and provided comprehensive legal counsel on a wide range of issues. He also collaborated with outside counsel on any pending litigation. Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Pasquini is deeply committed to public service and mentorship, actively supporting the Special Olympics and his alma mater, Saint Patrick High School, and serves as Director on the Board of Director for WINGS. Mr. Pasquini is also a board member of the Justinian Society of Lawyers. He also serves as the Chair for the Attorney Wellness Section of the DuPage County Bar Association, advocating for mental health awareness within the legal community.
