Madilyn Kuperman is an associate who focuses her practice on complex litigation, including long-term health care facilities, non-profit organizations, and retail and hospitality enterprises. She also regularly consults local governments on statutory provisions to ensure their various affairs are compliant with the most recent legislation.
Prior to joining Airdo Werwas, Madi was a Senior Claims Specialist at one of the largest commercial insurers in the United States. There, she gained extensive experience handling complex insurance coverage matters, as well as advising her insureds on the costs-benefits approach of their claim. Madi also has prior experience at boutique law firms where she gained invaluable legal research experience and drafted various pleadings and discovery correspondence. Madi values diligently listening to her clients to capture the details of their legal predicament. She aims to provide a tailored and specialized approach to every client.
Madi earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2021. In law school, she was a member and the Internet & Symposium editor of the University of Illinois Law Review. She was a Judicial Extern to Judge Randall B. Rosenbaum of Illinois’ Sixth Judicial Circuit Court. Additionally, she was a Research Assistant to Professor Michelle D. Layser where she assisted in gathering and analyzing data of opportunity zones across the United States. She was on the Dean’s List and was the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Evidence. She graduated with a Pro Bono Notation, awarded in recognition of performing 60 hours of pro bono legal service.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Michigan in 2018. Madi proudly hails from San Diego, California, and she speaks Spanish.
When she is not in the office, Madi enjoys taking her dog, Stanley, to Lake Michigan, exercising, and listening to podcasts.
