Marcia performs contract creation, review, advising, and negotiation for her clients. She also represents clients regularly on policy formation, municipal governance, and government compliance matters.

Marcia is originally from Saginaw County Michigan. She graduated from University of Michigan School of Art and Design (now Penny W. Stamps School of Art and Design) in 2011 obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Art degree.

Marcia decided to go to law school in order to pursue her love for reading, writing, and helping others. Marcia has now been working in the legal industry for over a decade. She began her legal career in Chicago in 2014. She graduated from The John Marshall Law School (now University of Illinois Chicago School of Law) in 2017, obtaining her Juris Doctor degree and Illinois law license. Thereafter, Marcia moved to Valparaiso, Indiana and obtained her Indiana law license in 2020. Marcia is a passionate advocate, and she has a strong sense of justice. Her favorite part about being an attorney is getting to meet new clients and help them navigate the legal landscape through business transactions and litigated disputes.

During her law school career, Marcia was President of the Corporate Law Association, she competed nationally on teams with the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Program, she was a teaching assistant for Contracts and Torts, and she enrolled in multiple legal clinics, including the Pro Bono Litigation Clinic, the Business Enterprise Law Clinic, and the Fair Housing Support Center and Clinic.

Marcia served as a coach for University of Illinois Chicago School of Law’s Trial Advocacy Dispute Resolution Program for many years, coaching teams of law students that compete nationally each Spring and Autumn in mock negotiation, mediation, and arbitration competitions.

Marcia recently published her first children’s book that she authored and illustrated called The Gifts of Christmas. Marcia was inspired to write The Gifts of Christmas as a way to explain to her twin daughters the connection between Santa placing gifts under her Christmas tree and her family’s celebration of Jesus’s birthday on Christmas Day. Marcia’s hope is that her book will help parents bridge the gap between the story of Santa and the story of Jesus and ultimately spread the word of God. The Gifts of Christmas is now available for purchase online in English, Spanish, German, and Italian.
