Sean Hurley Presented on Responding to Regulators for Long Term Care Facilities

Sean D. Hurley

Sean Hurley, joined by Mollie Werwas, spoke recently at the LeadingAge Illinois Annual Conference to address concerns of long term care facilities when responding to state regulators. In “Responding to Regulators: What to do When Regulatory Agencies are Investigating a Facility,” Sean and Mollie reviewed the investigation and dispute process involved with a regulatory investigation, focusing on how to properly comply with surveys and requests for information from regulatory agencies. Their presentation also included practical guidance for facilities in preparing staff for interviews with regulators before and during surveys and investigations, and the nuts and bolts of appealing adverse regulatory findings.
