Mollie Werwas Presented on Copyright Claims Against Religious Institutions

On October 6, 2022, Mollie Werwas presented at the 2022 Conference of the Resource Center for Religious Institutes on the topic of Copyright Claims Against Religious Institutions. Mollie provided an overview of federal copyright law and the ease with which inadvertent infringement may come about in the current digital age. Mollie further addressed ways in which religious institutions can protect themselves from being the target of infringement claims as well as how to protect the copyright works of the religious institutions from being infringed upon.
