Recognizing Sister Carolyn O’Hara, OCD

Recognizing Sister Carolyn O’Hara, OCD

As Women’s History Month continues during Catholic Sisters Week, we are honored to recognize Sister Carolyn O’Hara, OCD, Treasurer of the Discalced Carmelite Nuns at the Carmel of the Incarnation.

For more than fifty years, Sister Carolyn has faithfully lived her vocation as a Carmelite sister, dedicating her life to prayer, community, and service. She often reflects that “the solitude of Carmel is not isolation,” but a life deeply united with others through prayer.

In addition to her contemplative life, Sister Carolyn serves as Treasurer, providing careful stewardship that supports the daily life of the monastery. We are grateful for her fidelity, wisdom, and the steady presence she brings to her community.

May God continue to bless Sister Carolyn and all the Sisters of her community.
