During Catholic Sisters Week and Women’s History Month, we are honored to recognize Sr. Mary Elizabeth Imler, OFM, General Minister of the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart.
Sr. Mary Elizabeth leads with quiet strength and deep faith. Throughout her years of service, she has embraced roles that support education, mission integration, and spiritual formation, guiding communities with wisdom and compassion. Her leadership reflects a thoughtful commitment to nurturing both faith and community life.
Rooted in the Franciscan tradition, she continues to foster a spirit of humility, collaboration, and service within the Congregation and beyond. Her example reminds us that authentic leadership is grounded not only in responsibility, but in presence and care for others.
