During Women’s History Month and Catholic Sisters Week, we are honored to recognize Sister Mary Paul McCaughey, O.P., Prioress General of the Dominican Sisters of Springfield, for her lifelong dedication to Catholic education.
Through steady and visionary leadership, Sister Mary Paul has shaped generations of students and educators. From serving as principal of two Catholic high schools to leading as Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of Chicago, her work has strengthened Catholic education at every level. Today, at DePaul University, she continues that mission by teaching master’s and doctoral students and coordinating the graduate program in Catholic Educational Leadership, helping form those who will guide Catholic schools into the future.
Her commitment to excellence, faith-based leadership, and thoughtful mentorship reflects the heart of Dominican education. We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Sister Mary Paul in support of the Dominican Sisters of Springfield and their enduring mission.
During this time of celebration and gratitude, we thank Sister Mary Paul for her leadership, service, and continued dedication to Catholic education.
