During Catholic Sisters Week and Women’s History Month, we are honored to recognize the Congregation of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the devoted women who faithfully carry forward its mission of prayer, formation, and service throughout the world.
Among them is Sister Maria Sheila Undang, O. Carm., whose leadership reflects both spiritual depth and thoughtful stewardship. A member of the Philippine Region, she has served her community in numerous capacities, including Regional Treasurer, school administrator, and formator for junior professed sisters. Through each role, she has helped strengthen the Congregation’s foundation and support its continued growth.
With academic formation in religious studies and theology, along with experience in healthcare leadership, Sister Maria Sheila brings both faith-filled insight and practical wisdom to her work. In her current role as assistant to the president and corporation secretary, she continues to serve with diligence, care, and commitment.
Together with her fellow Sisters, she helps ensure that the mission of Our Lady of Mount Carmel remains vibrant and responsive to the needs of the Church and the wider community. We are grateful for her leadership and honored to support the ongoing ministry of the Congregation.
