“Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future” is the theme this year’s Women’s History Month. As we celebrate the women who inspire, we recognize the women who lead and support the International Association of Defense Counsel Leadership, ensuring the future of this important organization.
We first express our appreciation for Immediate Past President, Donna Lamontagne. During her tenure as President, Donna focused on strengthening community, by making new friends and revisiting old, recognizing that meaningful connections are key to building a sustainable future for this organization. We are privileged to count Donna among our friends.
We also recognize those women who serve as part of the IADC Board of Directors: Kirstin Abel, Vice President of Corporate; Heather Devine, Vice President of International; and Natalie Furnis, Vice Present of Insurance; as well as Directors Sylvie Gallage-Alwis, Mollie Benedict; and Deborah St. Lawrence Thompson. Together, these women exemplify the IADC’s dedication to serving its members, the legal profession, and the civil justice system by enhancing the development of skills, professionalism, diversity, and camaraderie in the practice of law. Michael is honored to serve alongside them, and we are all grateful for their service to this important organization.
Finally, we recognize Mary Beth Kurzak, the Executive Director and CEO of the IADC. It is through her hard work, organization, and perseverance, that the IADC is able to live up to its mission of advancing equal opportunity in the legal profession and creating a pipeline of future leaders in the field, including women, that reflect the diversity of the communities and clients we serve.
Thank you to all the women of the IADC!
