Michael A. Airdo had the privilege of speaking at the 55th General Chapter of the American-Cassinese Congregation at Saint John’s Abbey in Collegeville, Minnesota, on June 16th. The American-Cassinese Congregation is a Catholic association of Benedictine monasteries, comprising 25 communities across the United States and beyond. His presentation, An Overview of Civil Incorporation, addressed the legal and practical benefits of civil incorporation for religious institutes, including asset protection, limited personal liability, and long-term organizational stability. We’re grateful to the Congregation for the opportunity to contribute to such a thoughtful and forward-looking discussion on governance and mission.
