Yesterday at the Township Officials of Illinois (TOI) Annual Conference, Mark J. Kimzey had the opportunity to serve on the “Ask the Attorney” panel — an interactive session giving township officials the chance to ask attorneys about laws, regulations, and issues impacting township government.
During the discussion, Mark addressed a range of key topics, including the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Open Meetings Act (OMA), public records requirements, General Assistance funds, First Amendment audits, and best practices for preparing and maintaining Board minutes.
