We were excited to join colleagues, clients, and friends once again in Dallas this week for the Resource Center for Religious Institutes (RCRI) Annual Conference. Airdo Werwas was proud to align our workshop with this year’s theme, Pilgrims of Hope-- Guided by the Spirit.
On Tuesday, Michael Airdo, Mollie Werwas, Stephen Patterson, and James Jansen kicked things off with an all-day pre-conference session on Legal Updates for Religious Institutes.
With the legal environment for religious institutes growing more complex each year. Our goal with this workshop was to made key areas of the legal world more accessible, covering civil litigation, employment and administrative law, corporate governance, property and trust law, and risk management. Our team also explored emerging challenges, including the role of AI in religious and administrative contexts and the civil-law treatment of commissaries.
It was a privilege to contribute to this wonderful conference with a focus on the key legal challenges shaping the future of religious institutes.
