This afternoon, Mark J. Kimzey is presenting an Illinois Open Meetings Act (OMA) Training for Township Officials through the Metropolitan Township Association (MTA).
This training is designed to satisfy the annual OMA training requirement for township officials under recently amended Illinois law, which permits compliance through a course sponsored or conducted by an organization representing townships, such as MTA. It will also focus on the practical application of OMA, including common meeting scenarios, frequent compliance pitfalls, best practices for boards and committees, and guidance for conducting meetings efficiently while minimizing legal risk.
