As we observe Women’s History Month and Catholic Sisters Week, we are grateful for the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi and their steadfast commitment to living the Franciscan call to service. Through ministries in health care, advocacy, and pastoral outreach, they continue to bring peace, healing, and hope to the communities they serve.
We especially recognize Sister Charlotte Roost, OSF, whose decades of ministry beautifully reflect that mission. Since professing vows in 1968, Sister Charlotte has served as a pharmacist with advanced training in clinical pharmacy and geriatrics, combining professional expertise with compassionate care. She has also shared her knowledge as an educator at Samford University and provided thoughtful leadership within her congregation as Vicar and Associate Director, serving as a trusted liaison on significant community initiatives.
Sister Charlotte’s life exemplifies the Franciscan spirit — blending skill, humility, and deep concern for others. We are proud to recognize her faithful witness and lasting impact.
